West Half

ECA is the executive architect for West Half Street, working with ODA of New York as design architect. The building’s striking profile responds both to solar orientation and to views of Nationals Park immediately to the south. Because no two floors are alike, and the apartment layouts are unusually varied, the project presented extreme challenges in terms of structure, plumbing, and HVAC coordination. The numerous outdoor terraces added complexity due to the need for adequate insulation and accessibility for disabled occupants.
