ATLANTIC PLUMBING PARCELS A&B

2112 8th Street + 2030 8th Street NW, Washington, DC

ECA was the executive architect for these two projects, working with Morris Adjmi Architects of New York. Building A is among the most striking new buildings in the city, with its bold steel exoskeleton, which helps to brace the structure against wind loads. The mixed-use project includes rental apartments, stores, restaurants, and a six-screen movie theater. Building B, which is primarily condominium apartments, is also distinctive, with its offset façade grid suggestive of brick patterns. Both buildings feature extensive rooftop recreation areas along with an array of other amenities.
